Local service
Stepney is one of the smallest suburbs in the inner east, a few tight streets of bluestone cottages and old industrial buildings converted into warehouse apartments and townhouses, all a short walk from The Parade. It is an unusual mix of the very old and the recently rebuilt, sometimes on the same street.
That split defines the furniture. The heritage cottages hold compact period lounges in older fabrics; the warehouse conversions hold big modern sectionals bought to fill high-ceilinged open-plan spaces. One is small and delicate, the other large and hard-wearing, and they need almost opposite handling. In Stepney the address tells you very little about what is behind the door until you see it.
The cottage lounges bring the familiar inner-east concern — delicate older fabric, small rooms, drying time. The conversions bring the opposite: large sectionals carrying a lot of embedded soiling across a big surface, plus the practical question of access, because getting equipment into a converted warehouse with a single narrow entry and a mezzanine is not always straightforward.
We match the method to the piece rather than the postcode. A period cottage lounge is fibre-tested and cleaned gently with fast drying for the small room; a warehouse sectional gets full hot water extraction across the whole span, cushions and chaise included. For the conversions, a quick word about access and layout when you book means we arrive with the right setup rather than working out the logistics on the doorstep.

Stepney questions
Yes. Big modular sectionals are routine — we clean the full run, the chaise, the ottoman and the back cushions, not just the seats. Because conversions often have unusual access and layouts, it helps to mention that when you book so we bring the right setup. Larger pieces take a little longer to dry simply because there is more fabric, but most are usable again the same day.
We clean it in your home — the couch never leaves the room. All the equipment comes to you, the clean is done in place, and nothing disappears on a truck for a week. In a compact cottage that means we work around the space we are given, so clearing a little room around the piece before we arrive helps the job go smoothly.
